Stoptober 2018

Looking to join thousands of others and quit smoking this October? Stoptober is a campaign to try and help people kick the cigarettes for good with support from the NHS, tips on how to go at it alone and alternative options such as e-cigarettes and nicotine patches. There is also an app available to download to help track your progress, get more information and find support services in your area. 2018 is the second year that the NHS has considered E-cigarettes as an alternative way to give up smoking for good.

Thousands of people in England have already stopped smoking with the help of an e-cigarette. Plus, those who combine an e-cigarette with help from their local Stop Smoking Service have a high chance of success. In 2017-18, two-thirds of smokers who did so managed to stop smoking.

E-cigarettes can help you manage your nicotine cravings. To get the most out of it, make sure you’re using it as much as you need to and with the right strength of nicotine for you.

No matter how long you’ve smoked for, quitting can help improve your health straight away.

You can download the Stoptober App here to stay on track throughout Stoptober, with motivation and support on the go and when you need it most. Plus, you can track the days you’ve been smoke-free
